Sandra Gatica M | Design Life
Lead Product Designer
Living is intrinsically designing, so I live like that.
I believe humans can do better together.
For over 12 years I've led product design and digital transformation across global organizations — including Santander, Uber, and MetLife — working at the intersection of interaction design, systems thinking, and business strategy.
Currently I work through Toptal as Lead Product Designer at PatientFi, a healthcare fintech startup ranked among the fastest-growing companies in North America. My work there spans end-to-end product design, scalable design systems, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and operations.
Beyond client work, I mentor on ADPList — supporting designers in UX strategy, product thinking, design systems, and AI-driven experience design.
I build products, not just screens. My focus is on systems that scale, teams that align, and designns grounded in long-term clarity. I'm especially interested in how AI is reshaping interaction models — and the designer's role in that shift.

Francisca Gatica M | Design Life
Lead Product Designer
Living is intrinsically designing, so I live like that.
I believe humans can do better together.
My name is Sandra Francisca Gatica Morales.
When I was very young, everyone called me Francisca. One day, I simply decided
I wanted to be called Sandra instead — and from that moment on, I only
responded to Sandra.
As I grew up, I started to enjoy this play with names. Sometimes when people
ask me what my name is, I answer depending on my mood: Sandra or Francisca.
Over time, it naturally became a pattern. In work and strategy spaces, I am
Sandra. With friends, family, and in my creative world, I am Francisca.
This section is for you to get to know a little more about Francisca.
If you want to talk about business, structure, and strategy — call me Sandra.
If you want to talk about art, food, travel, and life — let's be friends,
and you can call me Francisca.
A bit about me:
In my free time, I love taking photos, cooking (and eating — a lot), and
traveling… probably more than my partner would prefer.
I am naturally curious about almost everything. I tend to see both sides of
an argument, which I believe is a powerful skill — even if sometimes it feels
like a slightly confusing superpower.
